Long marquise drops of faceted, polished pyrite are wired to handmade sterling silver ear wires in these striking earrings. Pyrite, once known as "fool's gold," is an increasingly popular gemstone in its own right, due to its edgy dark metallic color. These mixed-metal dangles go with everything, and they'll stand out whether you're in work meetings, doing errands, or accepting an award!
I've used .935 Argentium sterling silver for the wire and ear wires. Argentium sterling (also called simply Argentium) is a bit harder and more tarnish resistant than regular .925 sterling, and contains even more silver. It's also hypoallergenic for most wearers with metal sensitivities.
