These terrific earrings are made of sterling silver precious metal clay. Sterling silver precious metal clay is made from reclaimed silver. Once kiln-fired, it has a slightly higher silver content at 96% than traditional sterling. After the earrings were fired I polished them and then oxidized the finish to bring out the design.
The shape of each earring is basically a trapezoid, and each earring is deeply embossed with a spiral pattern. The earrings measure 3/8" at the widest part and hang 1 1/8' from hand-forged sterling silver earwires. Overall -- casual and not boring!
