Heat Treatment breaks down the proteins that cause most allergies. *Allergen Caution* While heat treatment breaks down the bonds in the oil's proteins which cause most dermal allergic reactions to tree nuts (including the Artisan) there *may* still be a risk for those with extreme tree nut allergies.
